things we think about
Happy 2025. Typically, we love the start of a new year, a time when many non-profit organizations map out their marketing goals for the year ahead. With questions looming about the Trump administration’s plans for the non-profit sector, this year certainly feels a little different. One thing does remain constant: strong communications to individual donors will help any organization weather turbulent times.
One of the things we love most about our work is that we are always delving into new fields. When Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) contacted us to help with a new website for them and National Endowment for the Arts, we had never heard of Creative Placemaking -- the nexus between the arts, community revitalization, and local government.
We are proud to be working with BlueCheck Ukraine, an amazing organization that has delivered millions of dollars in aid to frontline organizations helping Ukrainians survive amid Russia’s ongoing aggression.
This past spring Lizanne Hart Consulting had the good fortune to work with Peter Askim of The Next Festival of Emerging Artists on its 10th anniversary celebration. Over the past decade, Next Fest has transformed the pay-to-play model common on the music festival circuit, which prohibits many talented young musicians from accessing opportunities to build their professional careers.
In these troubled times, we are especially proud to be associated with uplifting projects like “Courage to Act: Rescue in Denmark,” an exhibit at the @MuseumofJewishHeritage that reminds us that even in the face of stunning brutality some people will rise up and risk everything to protect others.
